The U.S. draft resolution at the UN does not mention Ukraine's territorial integrity, according to media reports.

Krym.Realii reports this, citing diplomatic sources from the AFP agency.
СМИ сообщают, что в проекте резолюции ООН от США не затрагивается вопрос территориальной целостности Украины.

The United States has proposed its own draft resolution for the UN General Assembly regarding the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which does not mention the temporarily occupied territories at all.

This was reported by Crimea.Realities, citing diplomatic sources from the AFP agency.

Ukraine and its European allies have prepared their own text of the resolution, emphasizing the need to double diplomatic efforts to end the war this year, outlining several initiatives aimed at this goal, holding Russia accountable for the invasion, and reaffirming commitment to Ukraine's “territorial integrity.” The text also reiterates previous demands from the UN General Assembly for the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.

The Washington text, reviewed by the AFP agency, calls for “the swift cessation of the conflict”, without mentioning Ukraine's territorial integrity and lacking criticism of Moscow.

Instead, the 65-word text begins with “expressing sorrow over the tragic loss of life during the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.” It is known that what is happening in Ukraine is not a conflict, but a full-scale military invasion by Russians.

Furthermore, it “confirms” that the goal of the UN is to maintain “international peace and security.”

Earlier, some media reported that the United States was refusing to be a co-author of the UN resolution draft for the third anniversary of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The UN resolution draft has been prepared for February 24, 2025, marking the third anniversary of the start of the full-scale war. Such resolutions were issued by the organization in the previous two years, with the US always among the co-authors. Now, among the authors of the resolution are the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

In the document titled “Advancing a Comprehensive, Just, and Sustainable Peace in Ukraine,” the countries demand that Russia “immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw all its armed forces from the territory of Ukraine.” Last year, the document mentioned Russia's aggression five times. Now, sources from the FT publication claim that the administration of President Donald Trump is blocking such wording.

On February 21, the political coordinator of the US permanent mission to the UN, John Kelly, stated in a comment to “Voice of America” that Washington has not yet made a decision on whether to support the UN resolution on Ukraine for the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.
