In occupied Crimea, Russians "nationalized" the assets of 560 Ukrainian individuals and legal entities in 2024, according to Chistyakov.

This was announced by Denis Chistyakov, the Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, during a Ukrainian television marathon, as reported by "Crimea. Realities."

Throughout 2024, the occupying authorities in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea "nationalized" the property of 560 individuals and legal entities, while in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, 135 buildings were taken.

This was reported by the Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Denis Chistyakov during a Ukrainian telethon, as conveyed by “Crimea. Realities”.

He emphasized that any citizen of Ukraine who owned property or lived in Crimea could fall under "nationalization," "as it is decided by a commission, which is a formally subjective factor."

“Whatever the occupying administration decides, that will be the case,” Chistyakov commented.

According to him, the Russian authorities were able to illegally extract 4.4 billion Russian rubles in this manner.

“To alleviate the tension among the local population, they are directing funds towards the social and domestic needs of communities in the temporarily occupied Crimea,” Chistyakov added.

He also noted that "nationalization" became particularly active last year, which, according to Chistyakov, is related to a lack of funds in the Crimea budget to meet these needs.

“They are looking for various ways to generate funds for the local budget. This may indicate that in 2025, nationalization and the sale of Ukrainian citizens' property in the temporarily occupied Crimea will only increase,” Chistyakov concluded.

At the end of November last year, Kremlin curator of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov (according to documents, Aksyonov) stated that Crimea received 2.7 billion rubles in 2024 from the sale of "nationalized" property. Overall, according to his claim, the Russian occupying authorities received 4.5 billion rubles from the sale of "nationalized" property in Crimea.

Previously, the head of the Kremlin-controlled "parliament" of the peninsula, Vladimir Konstantinov, claimed that the Russian authorities intend to find and "nationalize" Finnish property in the temporarily occupied Crimea as a response to the seizure of Russian assets due to Naftogaz's claim against Crimea.

Recently, legal analyst Taya Avram from "Donbass SOS" explained how property owners can protect their homes during the occupation.

It is worth noting that in May 2024, the Coalition of Human Rights Organizations expressed their position regarding the seizure of property belonging to Ukrainian citizens by the occupying authorities of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, stated that Ukraine does not intend to recognize acts that violate human or state rights. This includes decisions on "nationalization" or confiscation of property and the establishment of inheritance.

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, advised Russians in January 2025 to sue the Russian Federation for real estate that they will inevitably lose after the de-occupation of Crimea.
