In Georgia, law enforcement detained two protesters during the night of December 2, who now face criminal charges for allegedly attacking the police and arson.

Officially, the authorities have decided not to engage in negotiations for Eurointegration until 2028.
Law enforcement claims that more than twenty police officers were injured on the streets of Tbilisi during the night of December 2. As for the detainees, it is known that they were born in 2003 and 2007. Media reports suggest that one of the leaders of the opposition coalition “For Change,” Zurab Girchi Japaridze, was among those detained.
If the local court finds them guilty, they could face imprisonment for up to seven years.
In recent days, a total of 224 people have been detained in Tbilisi for petty hooliganism, resisting, and disobeying the police.
It is worth noting that the day before, the European Parliament refused to recognize the results of the Georgian parliamentary elections and called for them to be held again.
Currently, experts identify electoral manipulation and armed conflicts as some of the main reasons for the decline in global freedom.
