In addition to the fatalities, at least 765 individuals have been injured from explosions involving explosives, with 86 of them being children.

"Unfortunately, this issue will remain relevant for many years to come," the official added.

If you find a suspicious item:

  • do not touch it under any circumstances;
  • immediately report the discovery to the State Emergency Service (101) or the police (102);
  • warn passersby of the potential danger;
  • move as far away from the suspicious item as possible;
  • wait for specialists to arrive and indicate the location of the item to them.

ZMINA reported on the dangerous items that are now most commonly encountered in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Ukraine ranks second in the world after Syria in terms of casualties from anti-personnel mines.
