The National Police of Ukraine reported another suspicion of sexual violence against a woman and a minor girl during the occupation of the Kherson region against Russian serviceman Zunel Bratov.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Special Forces soldier Zunel Bratov, born in 1986, from the 25th Separate Guards Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces, occupied the villages of the Stanislav rural community in Kherson region from March to November 2022, along with other Russian soldiers.
The investigation established that in early June, around 3 PM, he was stationed at a checkpoint set up near the cultural center in Stanislav. There, the occupiers stopped a woman with a minor girl who were returning home to the village of Sofiivka from Kherson. They checked their documents and let them go, but Bratov took note of where they lived.
Over a certain period, the Russian soldier committed a series of sexual offenses against them:
After their ordeal, the woman and the minor managed to flee to Kherson, where they awaited the de-occupation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that Bratov is also suspected of rape and sexual slavery concerning another resident of Kherson region.
