Vyacheslav Dubenko, a Russian national, is suspected of repeatedly raping and deporting a woman from the Kharkiv region.

ZMINA reports this, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Вячеслав Дубенко из России подозревается в регулярном изнасиловании и депортации женщины из Харьковской области.

The National Police of Ukraine has announced charges in absentia against Russian serviceman Vyacheslav Dubenko for the rape, deportation, and coercion of a civilian woman into sexual slavery during the occupation of Kharkiv region.

This information was reported by ZMINA with a link to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Vyacheslav Dubenko, born in 1993, is a serviceman of the 1st Motorized Rifle Regiment, 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation. From March to September 2022, he was stationed in one of the settlements of the Kunyevska community in Kharkiv region as part of his unit.

The investigation found that on March 25, 2022, Dubenko, along with other Russian soldiers, stormed a private estate where the victim lived with her family.

Following this, Dubenko frequently visited the woman and pressured her for sexual relations. The woman refused, but on April 8, 2022, the suspect forcibly took her to a neighboring house, where he raped her. Threatening to harm the woman’s relatives, Dubenko compelled her to have sexual relations again on April 15.

In June of the same year, Dubenko conspired with militants known by the call signs "Ibrahim" and "Maga" to force the victim to travel with them to the city of Belgorod in the Russian Federation. There, he locked the woman in an apartment with barred windows and doors, where the three of them sexually assaulted her.

For over a year, Dubenko held the victim captive, systematically beat her, and coerced her into constant sexual acts. Unable to endure the abuse, the victim attempted suicide in January 2023 by ingesting boric acid.

After this incident, the suspect sought medical help, during which the woman told the doctors about what Dubenko was doing to her. However, the medical professionals did not respond and returned her to her abuser.

It is worth noting that recently, charges were announced against Akhmedgadzhi Magomedaliyev for the rape of a minor girl during the occupation of parts of Mykolaiv region.
