As a result of shelling by Russian military forces on the night of February 28, material damage has been reported in the Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions, while emergency power outages were implemented in several areas.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

During the night, the Russian army launched over two hundred strike drones, with more than a hundred successfully intercepted by air defense forces, report the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The work of air defense was heard in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

In Mykolaiv, debris from a drone caused a fire in a warehouse and a cargo van. Rescuers extinguished the blaze, and there were no reports of injuries or fatalities.

In Zaporizhzhia, a UAV struck an apartment building, resulting in injuries to an elderly woman. Additionally, over forty civilians from neighboring houses, including four children, assisted at the scene.

In the Sumy region, Russian forces targeted the Krasnopil community with guided aerial bombs. This resulted in damage to a multi-apartment building and several private homes, but there were no reports of casualties or injuries.

Following the shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, power outages were implemented. Restrictions have also been reported from the Kirovohrad region.

It is worth noting that over the three years of full-scale war, the Russian army has killed more than 12,000 civilians in Ukraine and at least 45,000 military personnel. Last year, due to the use of guided aerial bombs and drones by Russians, the number of civilian casualties increased by 30%.
