A resident of occupied Yalta, Vitaly Khomenko, was sentenced in absentia to 18 years in a penal colony for "high treason" by Russian authorities.

An illegal court in occupied Crimea has sentenced 56-year-old Yalta resident and former lawyer Vitaliy Khomenko to 18 years in a high-security prison in absentia.
