Россияне нанесли удар управляемыми бомбами по селу в Запорожской области: одна жертва, спасатели ищут гражданских под обломками.

As a result of shelling by Russian military forces on February 14, a civilian was killed in the Zaporizhzhia region.

This was reported by the local regional administration.

The Russians dropped at least six guided aerial bombs on the frontline village of Preobrazhenka.

Initially, there was no information about casualties from the scene, but it later became known that a 50-year-old woman had died. Her body was retrieved from the rubble of a collapsed house.

A rescue operation is ongoing at the strike site. Civilians remain trapped under the debris, though local officials have not disclosed the estimated number.

Photos from the attack site are not being published promptly.

It’s worth noting that the number of civilian casualties from the Russian invasion of Ukraine increased sharply by 30% last year, as calculated by the UN. One of the reasons for this is the active use of long-range weapons by Russian forces, such as guided aerial bombs and drones.

Over nearly three years of war, emergency service workers have rescued about 6,000 people at the sites of Russian strikes.
