As a result of shelling by Russian forces on the night of October 30, nine civilians were injured in Kyiv, including a child.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.
Overall, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 62 strike drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of unspecified types, and air defense forces managed to shoot down at least 33 of them. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions.
The Russian army also fired a missile at a residential area in the Sumy region.
In Kyiv, debris from a downed drone fell on a kindergarten and an apartment building, causing fires at the scene.
Nearly twenty residents were evacuated from the damaged building.
Regarding the injured civilians, there are currently reports of 9 individuals, including a child. Officials did not provide details about their condition.
In October, Kyiv has already experienced nine Russian attacks.
It is worth noting that September 2024 became the month with the highest number of civilian casualties during the ongoing major conflict. Prior to this, the highest number of deaths and injuries was recorded in the summer of 2024. Over the course of three months, this number increased by 45% compared to the same period before.
