During the night, Russians killed civilians in the Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions and left people in the Poltava region without electricity.

As a result of shelling by Russian forces on the night of January 16, civilians were killed and injured in the Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions, while energy infrastructure was damaged in Poltava.

This was reported by the local regional military administration.

In both cases, the Russians used strike drones for the attacks. In total, the Russian army launched more than fifty UAVs, of which air defense managed to neutralize 34.

The work of air defense was heard in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions.

In Kherson region, Antonovka was once again under enemy fire. As a result, a 37-year-old man died, and another 33-year-old civilian was hospitalized with shrapnel injuries and a head contusion. Additionally, in the morning, a 92-year-old woman approached medical staff after being injured due to Russian shelling of Yantarny.

Moreover, a civilian who sustained serious injuries the day before died in the hospital.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, Nikopol came under Russian attack. A woman was killed, her body was found under the rubble, and another man with injuries was taken to the hospital.

In Poltava region, there were no casualties or injuries among civilians. However, the energy infrastructure was damaged, leaving three hundred households without electricity in the region.

Let us remind you that the day before, the Russians killed a nurse in the suburbs of Kherson and damaged a hospital in the area.
