As a result of shelling by Russian military forces on the night of November 29, a hospital in Kyiv was damaged, and a civilian was injured.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).
Russians began launching strike drones at Ukraine after 9 PM on November 28. A total of 132 UAVs were fired, and the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to shoot down 88 of them, while over 40 were lost from radar, and one returned to the Russian Federation.
In Kyiv, air defense systems were operational throughout the night. As a result of debris from Russian munitions falling in the Dnipro district of the capital, the exterior cladding of a polyclinic building caught fire. There were also damages reported in nearby buildings, where windows in several apartments were shattered.
A security guard at the hospital was injured at the site of the debris. Officials have not provided details regarding his condition, but they noted that he is under medical supervision.
During the night, information emerged about a fire at one of the infrastructure facilities in the Svyatoshyn district, which, as clarified by the KCSA, is not related to the Russian attack.
Amid the escalation of Russian attacks, Ukrainian nuclear power plants have reduced electricity production. The IAEA once again reminded that such actions by the Russians further jeopardize nuclear safety both in Ukraine and worldwide.
It is worth noting that hospitals have been damaged before due to Russian attacks. Over the course of more than a year of full-scale war, Russia has conducted over three hundred attacks on the healthcare system, and since December of last year, the Russian army has been shelling medical facilities almost daily, according to estimates from the WHO.
