Russian forces launched nighttime missile strikes on Ukraine using cluster munitions.

On the night of November 28, Russian forces shelled Ukraine with missiles equipped with cluster munitions.

This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In total, the Russians launched 188 aerial strike weapons overnight, including at least three guided S-300 missiles, three guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69, nearly sixty X-101 cruise missiles, 28 Kalibr cruise missiles, and close to a hundred strike drones.

The air forces managed to intercept 76 cruise missiles, three guided air-to-surface missiles, and over thirty UAVs.

Commenting on yet another massive shelling, Zelensky spoke about the use of cluster munitions, which complicate the aftermath cleanup. He described this tactic of the Russian army as a “very vile escalation.”

Currently, efforts are underway in the regions to address the consequences of the shelling and assess the damage. It is already known about casualties in Kyiv, Vinnytsia regions, and also in Odesa.

Recall that Russian forces have destroyed the majority of thermal and a third of the hydroelectric power generation in Ukraine.

The Office of the Prosecutor General is considering Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities as part of genocide. According to the Commission for Investigation of Violations in Ukraine, authorized by the UN Human Rights Council, Russian strikes on energy infrastructure could be considered a crime against humanity. The International Criminal Court has already issued the first arrest warrants for those responsible for the attacks.
