In the past 24 hours in the Donetsk region, one person has died and three others were injured due to Russian attacks.

The National Police provided this information.
В Донецкой области за последние сутки один человек погиб, трое пострадали в результате атак со стороны России.

As a result of shelling by Russian forces on January 21, one civilian was killed and three others were injured in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the National Police.

Over the course of the day, the Russian army launched 3,800 strikes on the region.

Areas under enemy fire included Belitskoye, Konstantinovka, Liman, Nikolaevka, Mirnograd, Pokrovsk, Rodinskoye, Slavyansk, the settlement of Raygorodok, as well as the villages of Berestok, Ilyinovka, and Nikolaevka. A total of 73 civilian facilities were damaged, more than fifty of which are residential buildings.

The deceased individual and one of the injured lived in Pokrovsk, which was shelled by Russian artillery and drones.

Additionally, two more injuries were reported in Belitskoye, where the Russian army dropped at least three guided aerial bombs.

Officials in the Donetsk region are urging residents not to underestimate the danger and to evacuate from areas under Russian shelling. Since the onset of the large-scale war, Russians have killed nearly 3,000 civilians in the region and injured over 6,300.

These figures are official, so the actual number of casualties is likely higher.

It is worth noting that last year, the number of civilian casualties from the Russian invasion of Ukraine increased by 30%, as calculated by the UN. One reason for this rise is the active use of long-range weapons by the Russian military, such as guided bombs and drones.
