Омбудсман уведомил ООН и Красный Крест о расстреле шести пленных бойцов ВСУ россиянами.

The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights informed the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross about another war crime committed by Russian soldiers, who executed six captured Ukrainian soldiers at the front.

This was reported by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.

A video documenting the war crime by the Russians has surfaced online.

In the clip, which lasts over 3 minutes, a group of Russians approaches the positions of Ukrainian soldiers. At that moment, the Ukrainian fighters are on the ground, unarmed, and not resisting. Concurrently, the Russians can be heard ordering them to “lie down and shut up.”

Subsequently, the Russians executed at least six prisoners of war, although the video cuts off at what appears to be the moment of the execution of a seventh fighter. His fate is currently unknown.

One of the group members who shot the unarmed captives is partially visible in the video.

Ukrainian investigators have already launched a criminal case regarding the incident under the article concerning violations of the laws and customs of war. Those found guilty face life imprisonment.

According to law enforcement, the execution of prisoners of war occurred in the Donetsk region.

It is worth noting that recently on the front line, Russian soldiers were captured, one of whom is implicated in the execution of Ukrainian prisoners. From their accounts, it is known that they received the order to kill from their command.

Last year, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) reported a significant increase in the number of cases of executions, torture, and ill-treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war, with at least 62 reported fatalities.
