In kindergartens located in temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, the occupiers are implementing the militarization of education. In the Skadovsk district, a "patriotic lesson" was conducted in the nursery, dedicated to the Russian army.
This is reported by the resistance movement "Yellow Ribbon".
"Military training in the nurseries of occupied Kherson. Sounds crazy? But it's true, and the occupiers proudly report about it,” the message states.
In particular, in the occupied Skadovsk district, a "patriotic lesson" was held at the nursery "Romashka," dedicated to the Russian army. The educators told the children about the types and branches of the Russian Armed Forces, explained their "purposes," and organized a creative task where the children made military-themed appliques.
Now, propaganda starts even in nursery groups, activists emphasize. Children are being taught from a very young age that the Russian army is the main state institution and that war is a part of "normal life." The education of critical thinking is replaced by a cult of military power and "service to the state."
It is worth noting that in a special correctional boarding school in Voznesenivka (formerly known as Chervonopartyzansk) in Luhansk region, the occupiers and their accomplices held a competition of military drill and song among students from grades 2 to 9, dedicated to "Defender of the Fatherland Day."
