In the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the movement of Ukrainians is hindered by Russian checkpoints, and mines make it difficult to bypass them.
This was reported by representatives of the resistance movement "Yellow Ribbon".
It is noted that the aggressor country's security forces are complicating the movement of Ukrainians between the occupied areas.
“The military at the Russian checkpoint near Debaltseve (the administrative border of Luhansk and Donetsk regions) do not allow people to pass without a Russian passport in either direction,” activists from the resistance movement "Yellow Ribbon" state.
Previously, another activist reported that at another Russian checkpoint in Donbas, “people are not allowed through until they show their call history on their phone – there should be no calls to Ukrainian numbers.”
To avoid the checkpoints, people have to navigate through the fields.
As activists point out, this has led to multiple accidents, as the Russians are actively mining the surrounding area, destroying the environment and putting local residents in serious danger.
In October of last year, ZMINA reported that the Russians intensified filtration measures among teenagers in the occupied territories of Ukraine, citing “maintaining order and preventing crime” as the reason.
