The illegally sentenced Crimean political prisoner, Teymur Abdullayev, who received more than 16 years behind bars as a participant in the so-called first Simferopol group of “Hizb ut-Tahrir,” has been placed in solitary confinement (SHIZO) for 15 days. He is currently located in a colony in Salavat, Bashkortostan (Russia).
He informed his wife Alima Abdullayeva, as reported by “Crimean Solidarity.”

“They gave me 15 days for now, but most likely it will be longer because they have already written more material,” – noted the political prisoner, without specifying what material he was referring to.
As of October 2023, Teymur Abdullayev has spent at least 874 days in isolation, not counting his time in strict conditions of detention (SUS). At the beginning of December this year, he was also placed in SUU.
It is worth mentioning that Abdullayev suffers from hypertension and headaches, his vision is deteriorating, and he has lost hearing due to otitis. He also experiences regular pain in his stomach, liver, and teeth.
His brothers, Uzeyir and Teymur Abdullayev, were arrested in October 2016 along with three other Crimean Tatars. They were accused of being involved in the activities of the Islamic political party “Hizb ut-Tahrir.”
On June 18, 2019, the North Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Rustem Ismailov to 14 years in prison and Emil Dzhemadenov to 12 years. The court sentenced brothers Teymur and Uzeyir Abdullayev to 17 and 13 years, respectively.
In December 2019, the Supreme Court of Russia reduced all their sentences by six months. Later, they were transferred to Russian colonies near the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Teymur was sent to colony No. 2 in Salavat. Immediately upon arrival, he was systematically placed in solitary confinement (SHIZO). During the intervals between his time there, he was moved to a cell with strict conditions of detention. Due to his prolonged stay in SHIZO, the political prisoner's health problems worsened.
