Ukrainian investigators have identified three members of the Russian army involved in the murder of a civilian man during the occupation of Izyum: the commander of the infantry fighting vehicle from the 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, Akmed Dudayev, and Ukrainians Sergey Reznik and Dmitry Konovnin. The latter are fighting on the side of the Russian Federation as part of the 202nd Regiment (“LPR”), 4th Battalion.

They are accused of taking two civilian men from a private house on May 5, 2022. One was taken in an unknown direction by unidentified Russian soldiers, while Dudayev, Reznik, and Konovnin severely beat the other. The man died from his injuries, and his body was taken to the morgue.

Currently, the whereabouts of the suspects are unknown.

It is worth noting that murder and terror are common practices among Russian occupiers. Ukrainian law enforcement continuously issues similar suspicions, including against Andrei Kurilkin and Sergey Shishkarev.
