It is worth noting that Dnipropetrovsk became one of the regions where explosions were heard during the massive Russian attack on Ukrainian energy facilities. In Kharkiv, six people were injured due to the shelling: five men and one woman.

There are also damages to energy facilities in Poltava, Kyiv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

Since the beginning of the year, this marks the thirteenth large-scale attack by Russia on Ukrainian energy and the tenth such attack on DTEK enterprises. Over nearly three years of the full-scale war, Russian forces have shelled thermal power plants more than two hundred times.
