Two more Crimean Tatars, Bahhtiyar Ablaev and Mirzaale Tajibaev, who were detained in Dzhankoy during mass searches on February 6 of this year, have had their preventive measures chosen.
This was reported by "Crimean Solidarity" on February 6.
Both Crimeans were sent to jail for 1 month and 30 days by the "Kyiv District Court" of occupied Simferopol, until April 4, 2025.
Mirzaale Tajibaev's lawyer, human rights defender Emil Kurbedinov, stated that during the court session he provided information about his client's health conditions and noted that the security forces did not present grounds for the detention of the Crimean Tatar.
“Everything is based solely on assumptions, testimonies from some hidden witnesses, and similar matters,” he emphasized.
Despite this, the court sent Tajibaev to a pre-trial detention center. The lawyer pointed out that this decision will be challenged in the appropriate instances.
Recall that in the Dzhankoy district of occupied Crimea, around 5 a.m. on February 5, security forces began mass searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars.
The occupiers searched the homes of:
Subsequently, it became known that all five were detained and sent to Simferopol for investigative actions. They are suspected under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Organization of activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization.”
In fact, the occupiers have initiated another “case of Hizb ut-Tahrir” in Crimea, according to human rights defenders. A number of human rights organizations issued a statement regarding the latest wave of searches and detentions of Crimean Tatars on the occupied peninsula.
The unlawful searches and detentions were responded to by the Permanent Representation of the President in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
Earlier, ZMINA reported that Emir Kurtnezirov, the son of a Kremlin prisoner and former imam of the mosque in the village of Lobanovo in the Dzhankoy district, Ramzi Kurtnezirov, was arrested in occupied Crimea.
