The Media Initiative for Human Rights has gathered testimonies from 72 released Ukrainian prisoners who were unlawfully held in Russian detention facilities, specifically in pre-trial detention centers No. 1 in Kursk, No. 2 in Taganrog, and No. 2 in Novozybkov. A majority of those surveyed (80%) reported that they were regularly subjected to violence by prison staff.
