Sergey Tkach, known as the Polohiv Maniac due to his crimes, received four life sentences and was serving his punishment in a prison in Zhytomyr. However, even his time in prison did not hinder his personal life — he married a girl who had been in love with him since she was 16.
"Telegraph" will share what is known about the last wife of the Polohiv Maniac, Elena Bulkina, who gave birth to his daughter.
Sergey Tkach is a serial killer who earned the nickname Polohiv Maniac. He committed his brutal crimes between 1980 and 2005, killing at least 37 people, primarily underage girls. Initially, Tkach confessed to 80 murders, later admitting to 113. He not only killed his victims but also raped them.
The Polohiv Maniac was born in Russia and had been married twice before his incarceration, having children. However, after his first divorce, he moved to Ukraine and carried out his murders in Crimea, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Sergey Tkach was arrested at his home on the outskirts of the city of Polohy on August 5, 2005. For his crimes, he received four life sentences and served his time in a correctional colony in Zhytomyr. It was there that he was found by Elena Bulkina — a Russian woman who saw the maniac on television and fell in love with him when she was just 16 years old.
0Over time, the girl began searching for Sergey Tkach and finally found him in the Zhytomyr colony in 2015. Initially, they corresponded for about six months before she decided to visit him. Their first meeting in prison was through glass, over the phone, and in the presence of guards. During that visit, the serial killer proposed to her. On December 9, 2015, Sergey Tkach married the Russian Elena Bulkina, and during their second, longer meeting, she became pregnant. Thus, at the age of 64, the Polohiv Maniac became a father once again.
1It is known that Sergey Tkach died in prison on November 4, 2018, from heart failure. His last wife did not volunteer to bury him, so the prison staff took care of the funeral arrangements.
2The upbringing of the daughter born to the Polohiv Maniac was handled by Elena Bulkina's parents. The woman herself moved to Moscow and changed her last name. The last known workplace of the girl was a construction company. She has deleted her social media accounts and does not communicate with journalists.
