Starting from Sunday, December 1, the social program "Winter eSupport" will come into effect. Ukrainians have already referred to it as "Zelensky's Thousand".
As is known, under this program, citizens of Ukraine residing in its territory can receive 1,000 hryvnias. To access the funds, it is necessary to have the "Diia" application.
To receive the money, you must have a national cashback card. If you do not have one, you can open it at one of many Ukrainian banks. The list published on the Ministry of Social Policy website includes the following institutions:
After opening an account, you need to activate it in the "Diia" app under the "Services" section, then select the "Winter eSupport" service, submit an application, and wait for the funds to be credited.
Pensioners and individuals with disabilities of groups I and II receiving payments through Ukrposhta will be able to collect 1,000 hryvnias via Ukrposhta. They will not be able to apply through "Diia".
The funds received can be spent on utility payments, the purchase of medicines, books, education, transport, mobile services, insurance, etc. Additionally, the money can be donated to charity, given to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or used to buy military bonds. Cash withdrawals from the card are not permitted.
Funds can be spent online or offline, but only on specific categories of expenses.
As a reminder, "Telegraph" previously reported on what other changes await Ukrainians starting December 1. This includes new taxes, changes to booking rules, and more.
