Former Liverpool and England striker Emile Heskey has experienced a dramatic fall from millionaire to bankrupt.
According to The Sun, Heskey went bankrupt in 2024, despite having an estimated net worth of £12 million in 2009.

His financial troubles began after investing in a “celebrity investment scheme,” which led him to owe the tax authorities over £1.5 million. The High Court received a petition for his bankruptcy.
The scheme in which Heskey participated was linked to Ingenious Media, and among the investors were also David Beckham, Robbie Williams, Steven Gerrard, and Jamie Carragher.
His bankruptcy was confirmed in August 2024, but this decision will be overturned – it is set to happen on August 19, 2025.
