A well-known Dutch football player received a suspended sentence and a fine.

The 30-year-old Dutch forward of Brazilian club Corinthians, Memphis Depay, was arrested by Monaco police in August 2024 for driving under the influence.

According to RMC Sport, the football player received a court sentence.

The court found Depay guilty and sentenced him to four months of probation and a fine of 9,000 euros.

It is known that in August of last year, Memphis Depay was driving at high speed in Monaco behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce. The police noticed this and pulled the driver over. As a result, his blood alcohol content was found to be 1.01 per mille.
