A well-known Argentine footballer was detained by police for making threats against his ex-wife.

The 31-year-old Argentine forward of Galatasaray, Mauro Icardi, has arrived in Buenos Aires, where he is scheduled to undergo knee surgery.

The footballer chose to temporarily stay at the home of his ex-wife, Wanda Nara, before the medical procedure. However, after a disagreement between them, Wanda contacted the police, claiming that Icardi threatened her with a weapon and that she feared for her life.

When law enforcement arrived at Icardi's residence, the footballer was asleep. During the search, no weapon was found, but Icardi was prohibited from approaching his ex-wife and her home.

It is known that after his divorce from Wanda, Mauro Icardi has repeatedly posted provocative messages on social media.

Subsequently, Mauro left the police station and stayed with a friend. In a few days, the player is set to undergo knee surgery.
