BEZERRA: "Playing alongside Neymar and the team for Brazil? Anything is possible."

The Brazilian forward of "Alexandria," Juan Bezerra, shared his thoughts on Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, who celebrate their birthdays on February 5, in an exclusive interview with Sport.ua. He also commented on what the chances of the Alexandrians would be in this season's European competitions.

– Juan, today Neymar turns 33 years old. Do you like his style of play? Do you want to play like Neymar?

– Neymar is a true idol for all of us Brazilians, and I’m sure for the whole world as well. I really enjoy his game and his bold style. He always tries to outplay his opponents and move toward the goal. Playing like Neymar is probably not that easy (laughs). It’s better to play like Juan Bezerra (laughs).

– How do you think Neymar would perform in the Ukrainian league? How many goals do you think he would score in a season?

– I believe Neymar would score a lot of goals in the UPL. I can't say exactly how many, but he would score as much as possible. He is exceptional when it comes to taking penalties, free kicks, and long-range shots. He also has a calm demeanor when finishing attacks in the opponent’s penalty area. He stands out significantly from the others. If Neymar played for one of the UPL giants, I think his chances would be even higher.

– Would you like to play for the Brazilian national team alongside Neymar and other stars? Is that dream achievable?

– Of course, the Brazilian national team is always a dream for all players. Playing with Neymar and other stars for the Brazil national team would be a privilege for me. Anything is possible. I never stop dreaming.

– What do you do in training to become as successful as Neymar or other Brazilian stars?

– I think that to reach the level and status of such great names in football, you need to train a lot. The best always train more than the rest.

– Do you think Neymar will score goals for Santos? Will we see him in great form again?

– It’s always hard to make predictions, but I can only expect to see Neymar play his best football on the field. He has a lot of talent, an immense amount. I think he should be happier now than before, being close to his family, friends, and at the club that raised him.

– Do you think there could still be a return for Neymar to Europe? Which European team would you like to see him in?

– I think that’s possible. It would be interesting to see Neymar at Real Madrid or here at Alexandria. (laughs)

– February 5 is also Cristiano Ronaldo’s birthday; he turns 40. You also play on the wing like Ronaldo. Do you think your style of play resembles his?

– Like Neymar, Ronaldo is also a genius. Playing like them is not an easy task.

– How do you think Ronaldo would perform in the Ukrainian league? How many goals do you think he could score in one season?

– Ronaldo always scores a lot of goals. Playing for any team, he continues to find the back of the net.

– Evaluate Alexandria's training camp. You currently have 3 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. Are you happy with how Alexandria is playing in Turkey? What do you expect in the next friendly match?

– Friendly matches serve to build game rhythm. Here, the result is not that important. The main thing is to continue doing what we did in the first part of the championship. It will be a tough match, just like all the others. I hope for a great game and that we can come away with a victory.

– In your opinion, in the recently concluded Champions League group stage, which team would Alexandria have had a chance to beat or draw against?

– It’s hard to say, as every game is a separate story. But we would have had chances to win in some matches of the Champions League.

– And how do you think Alexandria would fare in the Europa League and Conference League? Do you think they could earn points based on this season's group stage teams?

– Yes, of course, our team is capable of achieving good results in the Europa League and Conference League.
