On the morning of January 31, Russian troops carried out three strikes on border territories and settlements in the Sumy region, resulting in three people being injured. Additionally, in Kherson, nine civilians were harmed due to Russian attacks over the past day.
This information was reported by Chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Alexander Prokudin and the press service of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
According to the Sumy Regional Administration, 13 explosions were recorded in the region, with the communities of Khotyn, Krasnopillia, and Shalyhyn under attack.
The Khotyn community was attacked by FPV drones, injuring one person.
The Krasnopillia community was targeted by UAVs, resulting in two injuries and damage to a private residential house.
The enemy dropped 11 mines in the territory of the Shalyhyn community.
Furthermore, Russian forces struck more than 40 settlements in Kherson. Under fire and airstrikes from the Russians were Antonovka, Poniatovka, Prydniprovsk, Sadove, Sofiivka, Pryozernoe, Belozerka, Tomina Balka, Aleksandrovka, Dniprovsk, Zelenivka, Inhulets, Inzhenerne, Kizomys, Kamyshany, Nikolivske, Molodizhne, Berislav, Mykolayivka, Myloove, Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Monastyrske, Novokairy, Novoaleksandrovka, Olhivka, Osokorivka, Respublikanets, Lvivske, Krupitsia, Tokarevka, Tyahynka, Kreshchenivka, Krasnyi Maiak, Shylova Balka, Novoberislav, Novoraisk, Havrylivka, Burhunka, Kazatske, Veseloe, and the city of Kherson.
Russian military forces targeted critical and social infrastructure; residential areas of the settlements were hit, including damage to two apartment buildings and 48 private homes. The occupiers also vandalized a gas station, monuments, farm buildings, a garage, and private vehicles.
As a result of Russian aggression, nine individuals sustained injuries.
Recall that on the evening of January 30, emergency rescue operations were completed in Sumy at the site of the Russian “Shahed” strike on a residential building in a city neighborhood. In total, rescuers recovered nine deceased individuals from the rubble, and 14 others sustained injuries.
