In Poltava, emergency rescue operations have been completed at a five-story residential building that was destroyed by an enemy rocket strike yesterday, February 1.

This information was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES) via Telegram.

It is noted that the number of deceased residents has reached 14.

“As a result of the enemy strike, 14 people were killed, including two children aged nine and 12. Twenty individuals were injured, including four children aged three months, two, eight, and 12 years old,” said the rescuers.

Reportedly, 22 people were rescued. In particular, psychologists from the SES and the National Police assisted 206 individuals, including 11 children.

Recall that in the morning of February 1, Russian occupation forces launched drones and missiles into Ukrainian territory. The Kharkiv, Poltava, and Sumy regions were hit.

Additionally, in the evening of February 1, local residents in Poltava felt powerful underground tremors resembling an earthquake. It was later confirmed that an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.67 indeed occurred in Poltava.
