In occupied Crimea, an unlawful court sentenced a Sevastopol resident to five years in prison for allegedly collaborating with Ukrainian intelligence services.

This information comes from Krym.Realii, referencing a statement released by the illegally established "FSB of the Russian Federation" in propaganda media outlets in Crimea.

The illegal "Sevastopol City Court" sentenced a resident of the city to five years in prison allegedly for collaborating with the Ukrainian special services.

This information was reported by Crimea.Reality, citing a statement disseminated by the illegally established "FSB of the Russian Federation" in propaganda media in Crimea.

According to the illegal formation of the occupation special services from the Black Sea Fleet, the woman allegedly established contact with representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine via the Telegram messenger and, "acting on their instructions," collected and transmitted information about the activities of the Russian armed forces in Sevastopol.

As a result, the illegal "court" sentenced her to five years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional facility with one year of restricted freedom.

The SBU has not commented on this information. There are no public comments from the convicted individual or her defense.

On February 7, 2025, the illegal "FSB of the Russian Federation" announced the detention in temporarily occupied Sevastopol, as well as in Russian Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don, of four women who were allegedly preparing terrorist attacks against high-ranking military officials and sabotage at energy facilities.

During a meeting with a delegation of Spanish military personnel and international analysts, the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Olga Kurishko, noted the alarming scale of repression that the Russian occupation administration systematically applies against Ukrainian citizens on the peninsula. The political persecution by the Russian Federation is used as a mechanism for the destruction of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar identity.

Olga Kurishko pointed out that as of February 3, 2025, 218 citizens of Ukraine are in illegal detention, of which 132 are Crimean Tatars. They are charged with fabricated cases, particularly related to "terrorism," "extremism," and "treason," which serves as a tool for intimidation and suppression of resistance to the occupation.

Recall that on February 5, 2025, occupation security forces broke into the homes of Crimean Tatars in the temporarily occupied Dzhankoy and Feodosia districts and detained five individuals – Emir Kurtnezirov, Abibulla Smedlyaev, Rustem Mustafaev, Mirzaali Tajibaev, and Bakhtiyar Ablayev.

Earlier, the Crimea Human Rights Group called on Crimeans to send documents and other evidence confirming the commission of crimes in occupied Crimea.

Recently, the ZMINA Human Rights Center presented a guide titled "How Victims in Ukraine Can Be Heard by the International Criminal Court." Previously, the Center for Civil Readiness developed, particularly for residents of occupied territories, an online course on the Prometeus platform “Chameleon”: Avoiding Captivity and the Psychology of Survival in Captivity.”

Recently, ZMINA reported that for Ukrainians living in temporarily occupied territories, the electronic service "You are in Ukraine" has been launched: it provides safety and resistance instructions and offers access to quality VPN and a secure browser.
