Ukrainian paratroopers have taken control of the settlement of Kotlino in the Pokrovsk direction of the Donetsk region.
This was reported by the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Wednesday, February 26, via Telegram.
“Pokrovsk direction: Sicheslav paratroopers have taken control of the settlement of Kotlino,” the statement said.
It is reported that during assault recovery operations, paratroopers from the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces cleared the settlement of Kotlino, located near Pokrovsk.
“Capturing this settlement would allow the occupiers to reach the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highway, which is why the enemy committed significant forces to its capture. The Sicheslav paratroopers and adjacent units did not allow the Russians to establish themselves in Kotlino and pushed the occupiers out of its boundaries,” the paratroopers explained.
Recall that earlier, Ukrainian military forces cleared one of the districts of Chasiv Yar. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reclaimed more than 50% of the territory occupied by the Russians since the beginning of the invasion.
