According to him, the agreement will pertain to “rare earth minerals and other items.”

“We are making good progress with Russia and Ukraine. President Zelensky will come on Friday, that is already confirmed, and we will sign the agreement, it will be a very big agreement,” said the head of the White House.

He also expressed the view that the previous U.S. administration “put us in a very bad position.”

“But we were able to reach an agreement under which we are going to get our money back and we are going to receive a lot of money in the future,” Trump concluded.

It is worth noting that today President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a framework agreement on natural minerals has been agreed upon between the U.S. and Ukraine, which does not require ratification by parliament. He clarified that the document does not include any debt from Ukraine “neither 500, nor 350, nor 100 billion dollars.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal assured that the mineral agreement project contains no colonial clauses.
