The United States has declined to sign a World Trade Organization statement condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine. Previously, Washington had supported such documents.
This information was shared by Reuters, citing a diplomatic source.

According to journalists, the statement was signed by 45 WTO members, including Ukraine, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
The resolution condemns the devastating consequences of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine for the lives of people and the country's economy.
“We are seriously concerned about the repercussions of this destruction for Ukraine and for global trade, particularly regarding the supply to international markets of several key products produced by Ukraine, including agricultural and food products, fertilizers, and critical minerals,” the document states.
Recall that on February 24, the U.S. voted against a Ukrainian UN resolution condemning the invasion of Russia. Nevertheless, the General Assembly adopted both the Ukrainian and American versions, which only mention the “Russia-Ukraine conflict.”
It was also reported that the G7 countries were unable to issue a joint statement regarding the anniversary of the start of the full-scale war due to the stance of the U.S.
