As a result of shelling by Russian military forces on February 4 in Izium, Kharkiv region, five civilians were killed.

Local officials stated that the city center was shelled at noon. Preliminary data indicates that the Russians used a ballistic missile.
Initially, four fatalities were reported, but the number has since risen to five. Additionally, at least 50 people were injured as a result of the strike. Of those, 24 were hospitalized, with three in serious condition. A 15-year-old girl sustained severe injuries, while a 16-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy suffered moderate injuries.
Rescue workers were quickly on-site, working to clear the debris as a person was trapped under the structures.
Regarding the material damage from the attack, administrative buildings were partially destroyed, and a residential five-story building was damaged. A total of 170 apartments were affected, with windows shattered. Relevant services have already begun addressing the aftermath.
It is worth noting that on the night of February 4, the Russian army launched dozens of drones over Ukraine, resulting in material damage across various regions. However, there were no reports of civilian casualties or injuries from the affected areas.
