As a result of shelling by Russian military forces on February 2, one civilian was killed in the Kherson region, and at least 14 others were injured.
This was reported by the National Police.
The cities and towns targeted by Russian fire included Kherson, Sadovoe, Antonovka, Stanislav, Pridneprovskoye, Tomina Balka, Zelenovka, Nikolskoye, Alexandrovka, Chaykino, Berislav, Gavrilovka, Zolotaya Balka, Novovorontsovka, and Arkhangelskoye.
Among the material damages from the attacks were four damaged apartment buildings and over twenty private homes. Critical infrastructure was also severely affected, including a gas pipeline, food establishments, and vehicles belonging to the police and emergency services.
Regarding the casualties and injuries, the deceased was a 72-year-old woman who lived in Kherson, which was shelled by artillery, drones, and guided bombs.
In addition, a 50-year-old man and two women aged 40 and 46 were injured in the regional center, with one of the women being rescued from the rubble. She is currently in the hospital in serious condition. Doctors diagnosed her with blast and traumatic brain injuries, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.
Among the 14 injured in the Kherson region within a day, at least two were children aged 12 and 13 who were hurt in Tekstilny.
Russian forces attacked a shuttle bus with a drone there, resulting in the vehicle catching fire. In total, the number of injured from this attack reached five.
It is worth noting that last year, Russian military intensified their shelling of the de-occupied areas of Kherson region, striking the region at least one and a half times more frequently. As a result, more than 2,100 people have been killed or injured.
