Российские военные зашли в Великую Новоселку в Донецкой области. Пока там продолжаются тяжелые оборонительные бои.

Russian troops have entered Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region. Intense defensive battles are ongoing there.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the OSUV "Khortytsia," Viktor Trehubov, during the "Suspilne. Studio" broadcast.

It should be noted that on the night of January 26, analysts from DeepState indicated that Russian forces had almost captured Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region. The spokesperson did not disclose details regarding the positioning of Ukrainian forces in the settlement but emphasized that it is too early to speak of complete occupation.

I cannot share certain details because when it directly relates to the operation occurring in a small populated area, it involves operational security. For instance, if I reveal where Ukrainian troops are located, where there are no positions, or where certain movements are taking place, it would jeopardize those troops and movements,” he said.

The 110th OMBr reported that as of the morning of January 26, there is no threat of encirclement for Ukrainian units in the settlement. The fighters have withdrawn from positions where there was a threat, but fighting continues.

From the areas where encirclement was a threat, our units skillfully withdrew, taking advantage of the weather conditions. This does not mean we have completely pulled back; battles in Velyka Novosilka are ongoing. All actions are aimed at minimizing our own losses and maximizing damage to the enemy,” the statement reads.

However, the military emphasizes that the Russians will not be able to continue their offensive from Velyka Novosilka. The Mokri Yaly River, which posed challenges for supplying Ukrainian units, has become a barrier to the enemy's advance.

Recall that in the 24 hours of January 25, there were 159 combat encounters with the enemy along the front lines. The most intense situation is in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Kramatorsk directions.

It was also reported that the occupying forces continue to pressure in the Pokrovsk direction, with the enemy attempting to encircle the city from the flanks.
