In Ukraine, the most sought-after jobs in 2024 were skilled professions such as builder, plumber, electrician, locksmith, welder, seamstress, and other qualified specialists.

Employers were least interested in hiring specialists such as chimney sweeps, unwashed wool sorters, municipal clockmakers, or mirror dyers.
The top 7 rarest professions in the Ukrainian labor market are as follows:
- Yeast cultivation operator (only 12 vacancies over the year). This operator breeds, feeds, and cultivates yeast, controls temperature and humidity, selects and loads it into fermentation tanks. They take samples, dose, and release yeast for production.
- Piano and grand piano tuner (5 vacancies). Among the requirements set by employers for candidates were precise tuning of pianos and grand pianos to standard pitch using a tuning fork. Additionally, the specialist is responsible for correcting defects and restoration.
- Halva maker (4 vacancies) – this profession includes specialists who prepare Eastern desserts from nuts and sugar.
- Model (4 vacancies). There are strict requirements for representatives of this profession, such as a well-defined physical and plastic body structure, facial expressions, the ability to demonstrate set poses in clothing and nudity, being flexible and pliable, and standing still for several hours.
- Prop maker (3 vacancies). These artisans sketch designs and then create props that are later used in theater or cinema.
- Wig maker (2 vacancies) – this specialist creates wigs, chignons, eyebrows, mustaches, and beards for theater, cinema, or the fashion industry.
- Embryologist (1 vacancy) – this specialist works in the field of reproductive medicine.
