Ukrainian forces launched an attack on LLC "Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka" in the Volgograd region of Russia on the night of January 31. The assault was carried out by units of the Drone Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces.
This was announced by the General Staff.

"Flashes and explosions have been recorded in the vicinity of this important plant for the occupiers. The results of the fire damage are being clarified," the military reported.
The oil refinery in the Volgograd region ranks among the top ten largest oil refineries in Russia by design capacity and is involved in supporting the army.
This plant is also one of the largest producers of petroleum products in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation, with a production capacity of 14.8 million tons.
It is worth noting that Ukraine has conducted approximately a hundred strikes on oil refineries and fuel depots on Russian territory from September 2023 to the present day. For more details, see the infographic by "Slovo i Delo."
