The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has urged Vladimir Putin to immediately reach a peace agreement with Ukraine. Otherwise, the U.S. will intensify economic pressure on Russia.
The statement was published on the social network Truth Social.

Trump emphasized that he is currently doing a "very big favor" for Russia and personally for Putin, as "the country's economy is collapsing."
"It will only get worse. If we do not reach a 'deal,' soon I will have no choice but to impose high taxes, tariffs, and sanctions on everything that Russia sells to the United States and various other participating countries,” Trump wrote.
He added that the war can be stopped either by an easy or a hard path, "and the easy way is always better."
"It's time to 'strike a deal.' No more lives should be lost,” the politician concluded.
Recall that the day before, media reported that Trump instructed his special representative, Keith Kellogg, to end the war in Ukraine within a hundred days. However, very few believe he can accomplish this.
And the new U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, stated that the Donald Trump administration wants to end the war in Ukraine in a way that prevents its resurgence in a few years.
Previously, President Zelensky expressed confidence that Trump is capable of helping Ukraine stop Putin and become a decisive factor in ending the war.
