During a combat mission in the Toretsk direction, one of the armored vehicles of the National Police brigade "Lut" endured a blast from an enemy anti-tank mine.
Although the armored capsule of the vehicle sustained some deformation, both soldiers on board the "Novator" remained alive and unharmed, as reported by the press service of "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" (part of NAUDI), the manufacturer of this type of armored vehicles.
From Defense Express, it is important to emphasize that while the example above may seem "localized," it vividly demonstrates the high quality of production and the characteristics of domestic armored vehicles.
To begin with, we have information that the crew of the damaged "Novator" received a new vehicle to continue their duties, showcasing how crucial such armored vehicles are for assault units within the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Additionally, it can be inferred that the detonation of the Russian anti-tank mine occurred on one of the frontline roads, which further highlights the necessity of acquiring additional "Novators" to support logistics in combat zones.
It is also worth noting that at the moment of the explosion, not only did the protective armored capsule of the vehicle function properly, but the fire suppression system also activated in time, thereby mitigating the effects of the blast from the Russian "TM".
Therefore, in this context, it is crucial to underline why our defenders need as many armored vehicles like the "Novator" as possible, primarily due to the high level of protection and quality of manufacturing of such equipment.
Earlier, we also reported on the outcomes of the production of "Novator" vehicles for the Defense Forces of Ukraine in 2024, as this was a benchmark indicator reflecting not only the successes of the Ukrainian defense industry but also the saturation of our troops with automotive equipment.
