The Rashists claimed to have "destroyed" an AMX-10P tracked vehicle in Kursk, even though France never supplied such BMPs to the Ukrainian armed forces.

The enemy has started to "destroy" equipment in their reports that was never actually provided to our military.
Рашисты сообщили о "уничтожении" гусеничного AMX-10P в Курской области, хотя Франция такие БМП для ВСУ и не поставляла.

The units of the "Rosgvardiya" claimed to have supposedly destroyed a French-made AMX-10P infantry fighting vehicle using a drone in the Kursk region, accompanying this announcement with a corresponding blurry image, which was subsequently disseminated by the Russian propaganda outlet "TASS".

However, the nuance is that France has not announced the transfer of such IFVs to the Ukrainian Armed Forces at all. Moreover, the vehicle depicted in the aforementioned image is certainly not an AMX-10P, as stated in a publication by the French portal Opex360.

As noted by the authors of this publication, there was indeed unofficial information in February 2023 citing one of the French journalists that the French Ministry of Defense was supposedly planning to transfer at least 10 AMX-10P infantry fighting vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

However, as of June 1, 2024, none of these types of IFVs have been transferred to our military. Although the journalists from this portal leave room for speculation, suggesting that "we do not rule out that a few vehicles of this type might have been transferred to Ukraine." It should also be added that currently, AMX-10P is not in service with the French army.

However, when it comes to visual identification, it can be clearly stated that the vehicle depicted is definitely not a French AMX-10P, and several indicators point to this fact.

For instance, the rear section of the AMX-10P has a ramp and an angular hull shape, while the images from the Russians show an armored vehicle with a rounded hull, two doors at the rear, and a circular hatch. This clearly indicates that the enemy has, to put it mildly, misidentified the type of vehicle.

Not to mention that capturing an armored vehicle on camera does not imply that the enemy was able to hit it. Thus, we have a story about how Russian invaders in their reports began to "destroy" equipment that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not received at all.

Earlier, we wrote about how the Russians were preparing for possible ATACMS strikes on their territory, but not where it actually happened.
