The President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law amending the Tax Code of Ukraine and several other legislative acts aimed at stimulating the development of the digital economy in Ukraine.
This information is stated in the card for bill No. 9319 on the Rada's website.
The law specifically stipulates that the increase in taxes for individual entrepreneurs will take effect from January 1, 2025.
It is worth noting that on December 1, amendments to the Tax Code came into force, which include an increase in the military levy and other taxes.
Earlier, OpenDataBot reported that following the president's signing of the tax increase law, 22,500 individual entrepreneurs ceased their activities. Their survey indicated that some individual entrepreneurs plan to close their businesses due to the tax burden.
The head of the relevant parliamentary committee, Daniil Hetmantsev, responded by stating that since the beginning of the year, the number of new individual entrepreneurs has significantly increased, surpassing the number of closures.
