The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, left the White House early after a public spat with American leader Donald Trump and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance.

This was reported by several Western media outlets, including Fox News.

It is noted that after speaking with reporters, Zelensky and Trump were supposed to have a one-on-one meeting, followed by a press conference to present their statements.

However, according to sources within the White House, the leaders did not hold a press conference. It is claimed that Trump specifically asked Zelensky to leave the White House.

Journalists also reported that the signing of an agreement between the U.S. and Ukraine regarding rare metals has been canceled.

Update:

Trump has already responded to the situation. According to him, he “learned a lot that one cannot understand without a conversation under such fire and pressure.”

“It’s amazing what comes out through emotions, and I determined that President Zelensky is not ready for peace if America is involved, because he feels our participation gives him a significant advantage in negotiations. I don’t need an advantage; I want peace,” Trump wrote.

He also stated that Zelensky showed disrespect to the United States of America, and that the Ukrainian president “can return when he is ready for peace.”

It is worth noting that during the discussion at the White House today, the politicians raised their voices. Vance advised Zelensky to rely on diplomacy, to which Zelensky replied that the war has been ongoing since 2014, and throughout this time Russia has violated agreements. Trump then interjected, telling Zelensky that he cannot dictate terms to the United States.

On the eve, the U.S. president stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine will either end soon or drag on indefinitely. Trump also mentioned that the U.S. has “made significant progress” regarding a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
