The Ministry of Social Policy has refuted reports from certain media outlets and Telegram channels regarding a supposed potential cancellation of payments to individuals with 2nd or 3rd group disabilities.
The ministry's statement was published on Telegram on January 21.
“Today, a number of media and Telegram channels disseminated information about a supposed potential cancellation of payments to individuals with 2nd or 3rd group disabilities. We would like to emphasize: this information is not accurate and is incorrect,” – the statement reads.
The agency added that all payments to individuals with disabilities will continue and will be disbursed in the future. There are no initiatives to cancel these payments.
As is known, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights, MP Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk from the Batkivshchyna faction, stated in an interview with “Ukrainian News” that the Cabinet allegedly wants to cancel payments to individuals with 2nd and 3rd group disabilities. Instead, a larger payment amount may be introduced for the 1st group. His comments were cited by several media outlets.
