The information that Russian occupation forces allegedly seized Chasov Yar and Toretsk in the Donetsk region is not true.
This was stated by the spokesperson of the operational-tactical group "Lugansk," Anastasia Bobovnikova, during a telethon.
She reported that the day before, Russian propaganda spread a rumor about the complete occupation of the aforementioned cities.
“We see many messages from Russians claiming that they have captured these cities, feel free there, and so on. I refute this information – in Chasov Yar, the enemy has not crossed the canal nor established a foothold. Yes, small assault groups are crossing the canal and trying to establish themselves. And the key word here is ‘trying’. But at this moment, they do not have an advantage in these cities,” she emphasized.
Bobovnikova also mentioned that the occupiers decided to change their tactics in these areas.
“If earlier they stormed head-on and suffered heavy casualties, now they have focused on sabotage and reconnaissance groups and the so-called secrets, where one or two individuals cross the canal, for example, in Chasov Yar and hide in basements, burrows, and ruined houses,” the spokesperson concluded.
Recall that recently the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Defense Forces managed to stabilize the situation in Toretsk.
Previously, the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade stated that the occupiers had infiltrated the defense line near Chasov Yar. Later, the brigade clarified that the information about the "infiltration" into the defense of Ukrainian defenders is not accurate.
