The Cabinet of Ministers has approved amendments to the resolution on the use of radio frequencies, which will allow the launch of 5G communication in Ukraine in a pilot mode.
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, via Telegram.

Initially, the compatibility of 5G will be tested with military equipment.
“This is one of the key steps towards the full launch of 5G in Ukraine, which we plan to complete by 2030,” Fedorov emphasized.
The head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation added that the new Cabinet resolution will also simplify the operations for operators and allow the use of 2100 MHz frequencies not only for 3G but also for 2G or 4G technologies.
