The United States has prepared a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, as reported by Ukrainska Pravda.
He linked the new support package to the arrival of military personnel from North Korea in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
“Therefore, by the directive of the U.S. President, we will continue to enhance security assistance to Ukraine, along with our allies and partners in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group,” Austin emphasized.
The Pentagon chief stated that the announcement regarding the package would be made in the coming days. Ukraine will receive artillery, air defense systems, armored vehicles, ammunition, and other weaponry.
Recall that it was recently revealed that the U.S. will allocate $800 million for the production of Ukrainian drones.
It was also reported that the United States provided Ukraine with a military aid package worth $400 million.
