On the morning of Sunday, January 19, an explosion of ammunition occurred at the studio of the "Army FM" radio station in central Kyiv.
This was reported by a source from the law enforcement agencies to "Ukrainian Truth", and the information was later confirmed by the Kyiv police.
On Sunday, around 10:50 AM, at the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Hrushevskoho Street, the host of the "Army FM" channel was manipulating a bottom detonator "VP-9" during a live broadcast. Subsequently, an explosion occurred.
“This detonator was previously brought to the studio by one of the invited military guests as a used mock-up of ammunition,” the source told UP.
The woman sustained shrapnel wounds to her arm and abdomen. Her condition is currently stable.
“As a result of the explosion, a woman born in 1999 was injured and was hospitalized,” the police reported.
The radio station informed "Suspilne" that this ammunition had been in the studio since 2019.
Law enforcement agencies have initiated a criminal case for illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosives.
