Украина получила первую бюджетную помощь от корейских партнеров, которая будет направлена на поддержку социальной сферы.

Ukraine has received budgetary assistance from the Republic of Korea amounting to 100 million dollars.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, on Friday morning via Telegram.

“This is the first budgetary assistance from our Korean partners, which will be directed towards supporting the social sector,” Shmyhal wrote.

According to the Prime Minister, in 2024, an agreement was signed between the governments of the two countries that will allow for the attraction of up to 2.1 billion dollars.

It is worth noting that at the end of October, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol stated that the country might consider supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine in response to North Korea sending soldiers to Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine would send South Korea a detailed request regarding weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Media reports also indicated that South Korea might send a group of military observers to Ukraine.

This week, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met in Seoul with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol.
